Form IV were out in force on Monday against Abbot’s Hill. Everyone arrived excited and ready to go. The sun was warm and our three teams went to their respective courts. All teams showed good passages of play, great support for each other and versatility in positions. The end result was 3 wins to St Hilda’s and as the light started to fade, the girls did three cheers and everyone headed home. Well played girls – you did yourselves proud.
Form V played at Home on Tuesday against Sherradswood. Our teams rotated on and off and supported each other well. The A team showed strong passes, good defence and had several opportunities to score goals. The end result was 5-1. The B team showed quick passing, and although didn’t score, showed resilience and determination. Well done to both sides.
On Wednesday our U11 and U9 Cross-country teams headed out to the Rovers Football ground in Harpenden for the annual District Championships. 16 schools were entered; the sun shone brightly and there was large crowd of spectators. After a little warm up and walk of the course, the girls lined up for their race. Five competitors in each team meant 80 competitors in each race. Our Form V girls were up first. Violet went out hard and in a strong position from the start. She did very well to hold her place and finished 3rd overall, which was a huge achievement. Next to finish was Imogen (20th) and Anya (32nd). Then it was the turn of the Form VI girls, who also pushed hard. Isabelle and Isabella came in one after the other (26th and 27th) and looked strong all the way round. Well done to everyone for taking part in this event and for doing your best.
