Sports News

31st January 25

The girls have enjoyed a number of fixtures and events this term.  They have worked hard in lessons and in club time to achieve some great results in tournaments and matches.  Our Form IIIs had their first netball fixture at Beechwood Park School on 23rd January.  They played 4 aside netball against Westbrook Hay, Chesham Prep and Beechwood.  All four teams played really well and gained a great deal from the match experience, sportsmanship and match teas! Yesterday our Form IVs went to Beechwood Park to play in a tournament, which was also 4 aside.  The girls showed how much they had progressed in the past year, making great passes, showing ability to intercept and score goals.  The journey over to Beechwood was certainly one to remember and I was very impressed by the girls’ attitude and teamwork.  Our Form V girls continue to show great potential, showing competitive play and strong passing in matches.  More recently our U11 A squad performed exceptionally well at the ISA Regional tournament in Chigwell, where they won all 6 group stage matches, the Quarters and Semis, finishing runners up to St Mary’s Hampstead. They go on to the Nationals in Warwick on 13th March.

I am really proud of the girls’ dedication and enjoyment of netball, and for always giving their best.
