On Monday the Form IV girls played their first netball game this year against King’s on Monday and won 6-1. There were some good passages of play and it was great to see some goals scored. Well done to all girls.
On Tuesday the Form V girls went to STAHS to play 5 aside netball. Our three teams did themselves proud and played very well against strong opposition. The Reds won 8-5, the Blues drew and the Greens lost. I was very pleased to see everyone making quick passes and using the space well.
On Wednesday, our St Hilda’s Cross-country teams went to Abbot’s Hill for the annual ISA London North Cross Country Championships. The U9s did very well in their first long distance event on a challenging course. One of our girls finished 10th, qualifying for the Nationals in March. Two runners finished 14th and 21st, which is also commendable given there were about 100 runners. The U11s also did well to finish in the top half of the pack. Well done to everyone who took part!
And finally the results from the ISA National Indoor Ski competition held at Hemel two weeks’ ago are in. We entered four teams from St Hilda’s this year. Our A team was 3rd overall, Bs were 5th, Cs were 7th and Ds were 9th, which is a great achievement. Well done to Freya, who came 2nd in the U12 category, Reva – 2nd and Shona 3rd in the U8 group. Very well done to all who competed.
